Volunteer Project

How to Participate

The attention to bio energy suddenly increased as the environmental issues intensified, fossil fuel stock decrease, fuel price rises, and the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) was applied through the Kyoto Protocol. Although there are number of bio-energy, such as palm, rapeseed, sunflower, soybean, the most popular is Jatropha oil which does not cause conflict with edible oil because of its toxicity. It will not be long before Jatropha oil covers the part of the worldfs fuel consumption instead of fossil fuel (this is called as the development of green oil field). Please cooperate with us to promote the plantation of Jatropha and to improve the environmental state through investment, donation, and volunteer activity.

To Investors

Investing and Donating in the Bio-Energy Projects-contribution to the environment- Through the steady process of the Jatropha plantation activity in Cambodia and Laos since 2003, JBEDC has been researching on the elite plant that could yield 4-5tons of seeds per ha, and promoting Jatropha around the world to bring the cultivation process to a commercial basis. In Cambodia, JBEDC is planning to establish a Jatropha Centre which applies a function of Jatropha school for farmers and to carry out a contract farming with farmers after receiving skills at the Jatropha Centre. In fact, through our promotion, the Cambodian government agreed to our business plan and provided state land to farmers in the region JBEDC is operating. As a result, we are expecting to receive more and more farmers who will express interests in Jatropha cultivation. In Laos, we have already finished establishing a Jatropha centre at the outskirt of Vientiane, and planning to promote the contract farming activity to Bokeo province in the northern region of Laos, and Savannakhet province in the southern region of Laos. Since the acquisition of land and provision of appropriate equipments are essential to further enlarging and stabilizing our business, we are currently accepting investors and donors who are interested in our business. The second increase in capital is planned to be held in November, 2008. Please contact with us through the mailing form from the box in the upper right or call us directly. (Please ask for either Dr. Kobayashi or Mr. Nagaoka when you are calling).
